Welcome

Kodaly Music Education for Children Ages 2 & Up

“Music is a manifestation of the human spirit, similar to language. Its greatest practitioners have conveyed to mankind things not possible to say in any other language. If we do not want these things to remain dead treasures, we must do our utmost to make the greatest possible number of people understand their idiom.”
Zoltan Kodály

Music education is so important in our children’s lives. Children use music for emotional expression, enjoyment, entertainment, and communication. Children show an innate physical response when exposed to music and if taught in a quality program, music will also be used to develop social skills and help enrich and develop culture! Kodály has said, “It is the right of every citizen to be taught the basic elements of music, to be handed the key with which he can enter the locked world of music. To open the ears and hearts of the millions to serious music is a great thing.” Only the best is good enough for our children!

This program is an excellent start if you are planning on having your child take any individual instrumental lessons, or placing them in a choral program. It would also be useful for the older student already enrolled in these programs, as it is designed to teach all the basic elements of music and beyond.
